The 38th annual Parker Days Festival kicks off on Thursday, June 11with a Rick Springfield concert at O’Brien Park at 7 p.m. Springfield has sold over 25 million records, has won a Grammy® Award for his No. 1 smash-hit “Jessie’s Girl”, and has 17 Top-40 hits, including “Don’t Talk to Strangers”, “An Affair of the Heart”, “I’ve Done Everything for You”, “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch”.
“I can’t think of a better way to kick off the 2015 Parker Days Festival than with Rick Springfield. It’s going to be a great show, and it demonstrates that we’re taking Parker Days to the next level in 2015 with this fantastic Signature Event of the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Chamber CEO & President Dennis Houston.
Opening for Rick Springfield is FACE. FACE is a nationally recognized vocal rock band most recently featured on NBC’s “The Sing Off”. Based in Boulder FACE has won Boulder Weekly’s 2014 Best Local Musician/Group. Their music brings a new edge and attitude to the human voice by using just five singers and a vocal drummer, FACE creates a rock music phenomenon that you must see to believe. No instruments and no special effects – just six guys.
